Patrick Jane is a brilliant independent counselor who solves crimes with the California Bureau of Investigation. However, despite his superior record of crime solving within the Bureau, Jane is infamous for his disregard of protocol, as well as his past as a feigned psychic medium.
However, Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon does not tolerate Jane in her unit. She alternates between openly disapproving his antics and lack of boundaries, and reluctantly admitting Jane’s brilliantness when pulling through in the toughest of cases. Lisbon’s team consists of agents Wayne Rigsby, Kimball Cho, and rookie member Grace Van Pelt, who share Lisbon’s opinion of his queerness.
